Newborn - Normal 25 - Primitive Reflexes - Stepping: The stepping or walking reflex is obtained by holding the baby upright over the mat with the sole of the foot touching the mat. This initiates a reciprocal flexion and extension of the legs and it looks like the baby is walking.
