Sustainability and the Early Years of Oregon Wine

This video centers around the idea of sustainability in the early years of wine-growing in the Willamette Valley. The "back to the earth" hippie movement inspired several of the winegrowers to produce a more natural wine, whereas others realized that they enjoyed the taste of a natural wine rather than one that had been processed in the winery. Topics discussed include the issue of Salmon Safe and runoff from the vineyards, as well as making a more ecologically friendly vineyard that was biologically rather than chemically protected.
